The Amateur Sports Association (ASA) requires all players to follow the "born in" birthdate chart when determining which age category a player is eligible.  A player is allowed to play above their qualifying "born in" division, but they cannot play below it.  Depending upon registration numbers, positions, skill and other factors, some players may be placed in an age division above their required age, depending upon the year.  Below is the born in table for reference:

Players generally play within their age division to achieve the goal of successful development and safety.  However, there are instances when players are moved outside of their age division.  These reasons include, but are not limited to, team/position/skill/enrollment numbers.  Our goal is to keep our Association established with 100% Chatfield players so adjustments may need to be made to fill out teams and/or allow players to develop to their full potential. Each year team divisions will vary depending upon these factors.  As an organization, we have chosen not to hold try outs, so decisions regarding division of teams will be based on team needs, coaching and board assessments.

The Fireballs is a competitive sports organization aimed to develop players and teamwork.   Team building, new friendships and acceptance from teammates must occur from day one and this is expected of all players.

We stress the importance of all participants playing a role on whatever team they are placed for the ultimate goal of team success.
