MODEL APPROPRIATE BEHAVIOR & LANGUAGE:
*Remember you represent our community, the baseball program, the players you coach or
the team mates you play with, your family and finally yourself. Act & dress appropriately!
*Remember there are always little eyes on you, someone is always watching; lead by
example.
*As coaches & parents, you are the role models so if you gripe & complain all the time, so will
the players. We already have an extreme shortage of officials for ALL sports of ALL levels and
without them, it is hard to have games.
*We want to encourage, NOT discourage each other!
SPORTSMANSHIP:
*Always respect the game of baseball, your opponents, your coaches, your team mates, the
umpires, & the fans at all times.
*Win and lose graciously; again as coaches & parents we play a major role in how our kids
handle winning and losing.
COACHES HAVE A PLAN ON HOW TO HANDLE DISCIPLINE PROBLEMS:
*Harassing or bullying of one player(s) toward another player(s).
*Throwing of equipment (bats, helmets, gloves, etc.)
*Swearing or talking back to coaches, umpires, fans, etc.
*Moping, poor body language, mad, upset, etc.
OUR PLAYERS WILL NOT:
*Display inappropriate behavior toward the coaches, opponents, umpires, & fans.
*Throw equipment of any kind (bats, helmets, gloves, etc.)
*You will not swear, belittle your team mates, or talk back to coaches or umpires.
*Pout, whine, or act out when something does not go your way or the team’s way.
*REMEMBER, when we act out, it becomes about “ME” and not “WE!!” We are playing for
the name on the front and not the name on the back!
